Abstract

This article presents the book "Assessing Well-being and Psychological Resources at School, at Work, and in Psychotherapy," published in November 2023. This book is the first French-language compilation of validated measurement tools in positive psychology. Unlike traditional psychology, which focuses on pathologies, positive psychology studies the individual's natural resources that enable optimal functioning. The book, structured in seven chapters, lists 91 psychometric scales covering various areas such as happiness, life satisfaction, the PERMA model, self-determination, resilience, mindfulness, and psychosocial skills. It is intended for researchers, students, and professionals (psychologists, coaches, counselors), offering them a practical guide to choosing rigorous assessment tools and implementing evidence-based interventions. This book aims to establish a culture of well-being within institutions by helping everyone mobilize their psychological resources.
